The polka dot dress!!!

Yesterday I was in a romantic mood, so I chose this lovely loose-fit polka dot dress for my night out. With a tight inner lining and a looser chiffon pleated outer layer, it’s the definition of the girly, cute, summer dress and it gives me a sweet feeling.

I wore a narrow, blue leather, high waist belt, to highlight my figure and make my look more “flirty”. I matched the dress with a pair of suede platform wedges in a bright shade of green with a sexy black ankle strap, to add some colour to the outfit. I also wore a classic red lipstick for some extra colour and vibrancy!

When you’re wearing lipstick in vivid colours like red, fuchsia etc, you don’t have to do anything excessive with the rest of your makeup. Just fill in with some eyeliner and instantly achieve the greatest, most timeless look!

Mytilene by night

I am still in Mytilene for an early summer vacation after the graduation ceremony. Last night we went out for some drinks with my friends and I wore a pink vintage skirt with a black wide t-shirt. I combined them with a pair of wedges because they’re such a comfortable choice when you wanna dance all night!

Graduation

Graduation day had finally arrived. I was in Mytilene once again!!

That day was very important to me because I had finally my degree in my hands and all the memories of my student years were again in my mind. My family and my friends were all there to support me and celebrate with me. It was a very emotional day, filled with happiness, enthusiasm, intensity and relief.

For my graduation ceremony, I chose a strict sleeveless peplum dress with a colorful ribbon trim. I wanted something simple but elegant. Peplum frills always give a very chic and preppy touch to your outfit. The colors of the ribbon trim added a playful tone to this look, making it less formal.

That dress was a gift from my sister and my best friend so it has a deep sentimental value to me!!

I can’t leave out from that post some photos with my friends and my sister from that day. I would like to thank all of you guys. I love you so much!! Your presence meant the world to me!!

Dancing night!!

Here is another evening outfit which is easy to create.

You don’t always have to wear high heels in order to look fancy, especially when you go out dancing! Flat shoes are not only a comfortable alternative to heels, but are also designed in ways that make them equally fashionable. So, you can choose a pair of flat shoes like those in the picture, with flowers or abstract prints on them, to make sure you don’t hurt your feet, while maintaining a trendy and stylish image.

As far as the rest of the outfit is concerned, when you don’t want to wear something too formal or too casual, you can choose a plain stud blouse and a monochrome jacket. If you’re going for the ‘wow factor’, I’d suggest a jacket with some sort of special details here and there, like the one in the picture, that has the internal side of the sleeves lined with a flowery black and white silk fabric. This will surely give a more eclectic and sophisticated look on your outfit.

Finally, you can combine plastic accessories like these plastic heart and bow rings, to accomplish a playful and girly image, and create a unique, elegant statement.

6 tips for your nails

1)For long last manicure before you paint your nails, buffer the surface nail and paint them without using base.

2)For fast drying you have to wait 7-10 minutes between the first and the second layer. If you want even faster drying you can buy a top coat and paint your nails with it at the end.

3)For soft skin and less hangnails, once a day, while washing your hands you can mix a tablespoon of sugar with the soap and do a little massage to your hands and around your nails. Wash out and put a hand cream for a perfect result.

4) Shorten the length of your nails only with a paper rasp file and not with a scissors or nail clippes, so you can avoid the peeling nails.

5)To avoid bubbles in the manicure only use polish nails indoors without open windows or aircondition.

6) To avoid developing some fungi on your toe nails you have to be careful when you go for a swim! Walk barefoot as less as you can around the pool or in the sand and wipe the area between the nails very well, so it will be totally dry.

Friday night in the city!!

It was Friday night and we decided to hit the city center with my friends. We wanted to check out the 4 year birthday bash at Six D.O.G.S of the “Yes it does, sure it does” parties, this time called “Yes it does, four it does”!

I chose a maxi skirt as the centerpiece of my outfit once again, instead this time I turned a dress into a skirt. I matched it with a denim jacket and a pair of canvas sneakers, that give a more casual tone to the outfit. Plus they are comfortable and very hot right now(trendwise)!

I also gave focus on my hair with the all time classic side french braid. I find it to be very convenient as it only takes several minutes to make and always looks girly and sophisticated. So, when you want to do something easy but different with your hair, braids are the way to go!

Simple and chic

The period of pumps is almost gone as the summer is really close!! Although this weekend the weather will be rainy, so it is an opportunity to wear them for one more and maybe last time. You can put on a monochrome yet colorful dress, like this red one, to create a contrast with the winter shoes.
